This month the featured collection is one that can only be called the history of fire trucks. There are over 500 pieces in this collection and they range from some of the earliest motorized trucks during the turn of the century to present date and include some interesting and rare types. It starts off with steam powered engines including a 1912 Christie front drive steamer. There are also many early motorized models including an early Model T engine, a 1926 Mack AC Rotary Pumper, an Ahrens-Fox Boat Tender No. 2, early ladder trucks and many Ahrens-Fox pumper trucks. There are models from every decade from the 1900’s all the way up to present day, and not just from our area. There are models from Dallas, Los Angeles, Detroit, a Chicago Engine 59, Philadelphia, Virginia and more! Some even get into the local town in various states. It doesn’t end there, he even collected trucks from Dubai, Ontario, Germany, Bangkok and more. It also extends to ambulance vehicles, airport engines, water tankers, ladder trucks and boat rescue. Many of the makers include Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint, Code 3, Corgi, Schuco, Matchbox, First Gear, Highway 61, Ashton, German diecast and many other brands. We should stress all the trucks have the original boxes to go with them!!
