Description
A collection of United States coins presented in a vintage Whitman Type Collection folder, No. 9026 A, copyright 1948. The lot contains various denominations and alloys including copper, copper-nickel, and silver. Notable specimens include a Coronet Head large cent, an 1852 Braided Hair large cent, an 1858 Flying Eagle cent, an Indian Head cent, a 1909 VDB Lincoln cent, an 1867 two-cent piece, an 1867 nickel three-cent piece, and an 1852 silver three-cent piece. Silver denominations include an 1834 Capped Bust half dime, an 1841 Seated Liberty half dime, an 1890 Seated Liberty dime, a 1940 Mercury dime, and a 1957 Roosevelt dime. Five-cent pieces include a 1906 Liberty Head nickel, a 1936 Buffalo nickel, and a 1942-1945 silver Jefferson nickel. The collection includes the 1909 VDB Lincoln cent and the 1943 steel cent, a one-year emergency issue. All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of the sale.
