Atlantic Highlands, NJ, On January 3, 2026, Bodnar’s Auction House proudly presents SMAuction A Kevin Smith Sale, a live in-person auction with a concurrent live broadcast from Smodcastle Cinemas. Kevin Smith will be live in person, serving as the head caller, guiding bidders through each item as it goes up for bid. The sale begins at 2:00 pm ET with in-person bidding at Smodcastle Cinemas and online bidding available for remote bidders. All items come with Certificates of Authenticity (COAs) from Bodnar’s Auction.
This is the second annual Auction featuring all things Kevin Smith. The sale will be at Smodcastle Cinemas, which is Kevin Smith’s flagship cinema in the Atlantic Highlands, NJ, dedicated to screening first-run movies, indie, cult, and genre films, alongside community-driven events and charitable initiatives to support the cinema’s ongoing operations. The cinema alone is a destination like a museum featuring his memorabilia all over the walls as you walk the hallway of this historical theater. The theater opened in 1921 and spanned decades of movie watching, including Kevin seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark in that exact theater as a kid. Facing closure during the pandemic, Kevin with partners Erine O’Donnell, Jeff Swanton, Ashley DiGennaro and Tony Zertuche rescued the place, turning it into one of the most memorable movie theaters to walk through. Proceeds from this sale will help keep the lights on. “It’s A shrine,” Auctioneer Joe Bodnar said the first time he walked through the doors. “I remember meeting with Kevin at the theater when he was filming the 4:30 Movie, and I was mesmerized by the movie art that hung on the walls. I was extremely impressed.” Items from the 4:30 Movie, filmed at the theater, will be sold at this auction, including lot number 77, Manager’s Mike’s Movie Mobile Car, a 1984 Dodge model 600 convertible that was converted to look like the Batmobile that was driven by actor Ken Jeong estimated at $1000.00-$3000.00. A WWW backdrop, movie prop posters, a Sword of the King of the Beaver People by Diedrich Bader as King Damoclese, signed by Kevin Smith to a Full-size Port-A-John prop used in the film!

Most items in this auction are autographed by Kevin Smith and will include COAs provided by Bodnar’s Auction. “What’s Cool about things in this auction is that they are one-of-a-kind pieces only seen by someone who was behind the scenes of the filming of these great movies! You can not go out and find this stuff on eBay!” Joe Bodnar commented. Kevin Smith will take center Stage talking about every item up for bid. The first annual Smauction took place in 2024 and was worth the show just for this. He would talk about the hows and whys on each item and the story behind it.
