Bodnar’s Auction Presents Another Fine Art Auction Spanning 2 Centuries of Masterpieces on June 17!
Monmouth Junction, NJ Bodnar’s Auctions will feature several estate collections of fine art collected over the past 6 months from their estate finds. Decorate Your Walls with Estate Art Auction is June 17, 2026 starting at 11:00am on Bodnar’s Auction Website will consist of 200 years of masterpiece painting and some up and coming New York City artists. The sale is packed with over 220 lots, from 19th-century oils to 18th-century etchings to Victorian prints to 20th-century Park West Gallery Art, they have something for every collector in all price ranges.
Lots to Watch:

Lot 50 is a 19th Century Oil on Canvas by Robert McGregor (1848-1922). Depicting a Family walking on the coast. “The Day’s Harvest”. Including young girl on donkey, signed lower right. measuring 38″ tall x 49″ wide estimated at $1000.00-$2000.00. Born in 1847 in Bradford, England, McGregor was a self-taught artist who began his career as a book illustrator for a publishing company, and later became a member of the Royal Scottish Academy for 16 years. Today, his work is exhibited at the National Gallery of Scotland. McGregor specialized in “genre art,” focusing deeply on the lives of ordinary, working-class laborers. His primary subjects were fishermen, shepherds, crofters, peddlers, and farmworkers.

Lot 51 is a 19th Century Marine Oil Painting by C. Witham – American Clipper Ship “Reliance” – Dated 1885, Measuring 29.5″ tall x 43.5″ wide. C. Witham remains one of the more elusive and mysterious figures in 19th-century maritime art. Despite several of his oil paintings appearing in private collections, maritime galleries, and auction houses over the years, art historians have never definitively identified the person behind the signature, however his paintings are lifelike and will not disappoint the marine time collector. This painting is estimated at $1000.00-$2000.00

Lot 40 is a Monumental 19th Oil on Canvas by Jules Garson (1910-. Depicting a French Outdoor Scene of Women being Courted, signed lower left, framed in an extremely ornate frame, Under Glass, Measuring 43″ tall x 50″ wide. Jules Garson was a 19th-century French painter primarily active during the late 1800s. Garson specialized in large-scale oil paintings on canvas. His style closely follows the academic and traditional French genre painting of the 19th century. This work of art is estimated at $1000.00-$2000.00

Lot 63 is an Original Mixed Media by Peter Robert Keil on top of Joan Miro “Young Boy”. Young Boy is dated ’59 and labeled Palma, measuring Measures 23″ tall x 19″ wide. This is where Miro had a studio and Peter was the apprentice under Miro. Peter Keil is a highly prolific German Neo-Expressionist painter and sculptor renowned for his vivid primary colors, dynamic brushwork, and raw emotional intensity. As a central figure of the “Berliner Neue Wilden” (Berlin Young Fauves) movement in the early 1980s, Keil rejected minimalist constraints in favor of a spontaneous, free-spirited, and chaotic artistic style. This piece is estimated at $300.00-$600.00

The sale will also feature a collection of originals by New York City Artist Ruffino Lubis who is an upcoming artist in the New York City art world. His use of Mix Media and textured art is done expertly and touches your senses. His art has been shown in several galleries around town and he has decided to let some of his pieces come up for auction. Estimates range from $50.00-$500.00 and the auction houses pick as to a favorite is lot 28, Autumn Embers.
The auction will also feature a nice collection of original Marion S. Riseman (1928–2010). She was an American mid-century Abstract Expressionist painter and sculptor active primarily in Connecticut and Florida. Best known for her vibrant oil-on-canvas abstract compositions, her creative style evolved dramatically from early traditional techniques into a deeply focused exploration of color and light inspired by Tiffany glass. This sale will feature 10 pieces of her unique art estimating from $100.00-$500.00 each.
